The Cube™
is Alterra’s home, rehearsal space, teaching space, and rental space. It’s available for the public to rent for performances, rehearsals, screenings, photo and video shoots, self-tapes, co-working, fabrication, and more!
We’re located at 4700 Wissahickon Ave, in the office complex between W Abbottsford Ave and Roberts Ave. Look for the Merakey and Cradles to Crayons signs, and head in the double glass doors. The studio is located on the second floor, down the hallway. You can search “Alterra Productions” or “The Cube” in your map application and it will take you right there!
The Cube™ boasts an abundance of open space (3000 sq ft) which can be transformed in many different ways.
Amenities:
Floor to mid-ceiling mirrors on one wall
A variety of mats and safety equipment
Aerial rigging points at 12’ (24’ coming soon!)
Co-working space with desks available daily, weekly, or monthly
Areas for temporary storage
Coffee and tea bar
A lounge area with various couches and chairs
Basic sound equipment

In addition to the 3000 square feet of open space there are three separate enclosed rooms:
The Kitchen - a storage space with a restaurant-grade sink, filtered water, and refrigerator - always open access!
The Far Room - a fabrication room for costuming and creation
The Office - a small enclosed office with desk and sound-reducing panels (great for self tapes and music rehearsals)

***We’re currently offering a special for The Office - $50 for a 3-hour rental—we will be installing blue and black curtains for your self-tape convenience!***
1/4 cube rental $25/hr
1/2 cube rental $45/hr
Full cube rental (excluding co-working space) $85/hr
The Office rental $20/hr
The Far Room $20/hr

All spaces include access to the kitchen, and use of the lounge area. Partial/full cube rentals include use of any equipment in the space (please make sure to return it where you found it!) All rigging MUST be handled either by an on-site manager or an approved rigger.
